What a Civil Marriage Is
Exclusive summary about civil marriage by Francis K Githinji
A civil marriage is not hard to define. A government or a civil official will be present to officiate it. It is a wedding that meets all the legal requirements of the state or country. In some countries, couples are required to hold a civil ceremony first and get the legal business sorted out. How to have your wedding is a personal decision. There are many advantages that come with a civil marriage. If you wish to have a simple ceremony, the civil option is the best. Thousands of singles go through the civil marriage never to regret it.
As a result, the partners who get married through a civil system will have legal rights and obligations. In the United States, the government issues rights to religious leader to perform religious marriages that are recognized by the state. For a marriage to be considered legal there must be an issuance of a marriage license by civil authorities. Gay people also enjoy the right to civil marriage. However, theirs is not a marriage but rather referred to as, a civil union. Countries like Canada have also granted their gay population the right to civil unions.
Countries like the UK do not recognize same sex marriages. If a civil union is not allowed, you need to follow the law. Many couples have gone to places where the civil union is legal to get married.
Civil Marriage Ceremony
Exclusive summary about civil marriage by Aakash Shah
A civil wedding is usually conducted by some local civil authority. Mostly civil marriages are carried out in local towns, city halls or in the judge’s chamber.
Civil Wedding is also a prevalent practice among those opting for inter-caste or inter-community marriages. This allows them to include self written vows, marriage symbols, themes and special readings making the ceremony even more interesting and escalating the bond between the couple. Civil weddings either totally omit the interference of these religious ceremonies or include a few of them according to the choice of the individual. Different states and cities have different laws for conducting civil marriages. Civil ceremony is a better choice these days for the young generation, as they provide much more flexibility and comfort as compared to the religious weddings. Both the bride and the groom are given full freedom to include their religious aspects in the wedding. Such marriages also save the extra expenses that might be incurred from a traditional wedding. You can make the wedding a cherished ceremony by hiring a marriage celebrant, if you want.
